National Instruments 778572-95 PXI RF Multiplexer Switch Module 

The National Instruments 778572-95 is a PXI RF Multiplexer Switch Module. It is an identifying part number for the PXI-2595 module. The NI 778572-95 offers a high-density, quad 4x1 multiplexing configuration for switching signals from DC to 5 GHz with a characteristic impedance of 50 Ω. This module tracks relay closures, increasing the count each time a relay is activated. These counts are stored on board and can be retrieved automatically for predictive maintenance, reducing unexpected downtime. This Module features a flexible output list architecture to minimize data acquisition and test time. Its scan list provides the fastest output with a hardware-timed solution, allowing the module to process the list once or loop continuously. Commands can open or close relays, wait for external triggers and generate scanner advanced triggers. 

The module's maximum switching voltage, current, carry current, and RF power is 30 V, 0.5 A, 0.5 A, and 10 W, respectively. The NI 778572-95 is compatible with various software packages, including Windows 2000/NT/XP, Linux, and NI Switch Executive. It also supports LabVIEW, the LabVIEW Real-Time Module, LabWindows/CVI, Measurement Studio, Visual Basic, and C/C++. The device comes with the NI-SWITCH and NI-DAQmx driver software, enhancing its functionality and integration capabilities. 

Each 778572-95 RF Multiplexer Switch Module comes with NI-SWITCH, an IVI-compliant driver that provides full functionality for all switch modules. Additionally, NI Switch Executive software simplifies the configuration, programming, and management of high-channel-count switching systems, offering a user-friendly interface for intelligent switch management and visual routing. The NI-SWITCH soft front panel allows for easy relay operations and debugging of switch code and execution. Furthermore, it features electromechanical, latching relays and is equipped with five SMA jack I/O connectors. It requires 3 W at 5 V and 0.5 W at 3.3 V from the PXI power supply. The relay operating time for this module is 10.4 milliseconds, ensuring quick and efficient switching.
