National Instruments PXI-2575 PXI Multiplexer Switch Module
The PXI-2575 (Part Number: 778572-75) is a high density PXI Multiplexer Switch Module that is perfect for a huge variety of channel robotized test applications. This module utilizes electromechanical relays and can direct many signals to measurement instruments or from source units. The PXI-2575 has an inward relay count tracking feature to predict maintenance needs. In addition, the module boasts deterministic activity with equipment triggers to enhance test results. This module has several topologies available and can be configured as a 1-wire 196 x 1 multiplexer, a 2-wire, 95 x 1 multiplexer, or a 2-wire 98 x 1 multiplexer. The NI PXI-2575 uses relays which are field-replaceable. The electrical life of the relays is approximately 10^5 operations when switching at a rated load of 60 VDC (1 ADC resistive). The device has a switch bandwidth of 20 MHz (for a topology of 1-wire), a maximum switching power of 60 W, 62.5 VA (DC to 60 Hz) per channel.
This PXI Multiplexer Switch Module has a relay count tracking feature, which counts relay closures on all the independent relays. Relay counts are incremented every time a relay is activated. The counts are saved on the module and can be retrieved programmatically. This helps with predictive maintenance and minimizes unanticipated system downtime. Additionally, the device is equipped with a 200 POS LFH Matrix 50 I/O connector.
The NI PXI-2575 module is not suggested for 2-wire resistance measurements. The typical relay operating time is 1 ms, while the maximum relay operating time is 3.4 ms. The relay contact material is silver and gold covered. This PXI Multiplexer Switch Module can be used with NI-SWITCH and NI-DAQmx driver software.
This module can also be used with two cable types: the 1 m SH200LFH-4xDB50F-S: LFH200 to 50-pin D-SUB Switch Cable (CH-CH Twisted) or the 2 m SH200LFH- BAREWIRE: LFH200 Connector to Bare Wire Switch Cable. The PXI-2575 weighs 8.1 oz., and measures 8.5 x 0.8 x 5.1 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C.
