National Instruments 781095-01 Industrial Power Supply

Part Number 781095-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments PS-17 Industrial Power Supply. The power supply comes equipped with a set of features that makes it ideal for powering motors, charge capacitors, and absorbing reverse energy. This includes small size, high efficiency (up to 93.9%), wide AC input range, 150% peak load availability, wide DC input range, minimum input current surge, etc. 

The 781095-01 has a minimum AC input voltage range of 85 to 276 V for continuous operation while it can sustain a minimum of 276 to 300 VAC for less than 500 ms. The nominal input frequency is 50 to 60 Hz (±6%). Likewise, the typical input current is 5.47 A at 100 VAC, 4.56 A at 120 VAC, and 2.48 A at 150 VAC given that it is outputting 24 V, 20 A. On the other hand, this part supports DC inputs from 88 to 375 VDC for continuous operation. The DC input current can be 4.8 A at 110 VDC or 3.5 A at 150 V, given that the output is 24 V, 20 A.  

The 781095-01 has a typical output voltage range of 24 V to 28 V, which can reach a maximum of 30 V.  The nominal output current is 20 A at 24 V and 17 A at 28 V. Likewise, the nominal output power is 480 W for both 24 V or 28 V output. The 781095-01 is recommended for operation in temperatures from -25 °C to +70 °C and output power must be reduced above +60 °C. On the other hand, it can be stored in temperatures from -40 to +85 °C. Note that the relative humidity must be between 5% to 95%. Furthermore, the power supply can be operated up to altitudes of 6000 m. The 781095-01 employs several protection features. First, the output is electronically protected against overload, no-load, and short-circuits. Likewise, there is an output overvoltage protection for a maximum of 37 VDC. In addition, it also features an electronically limited output over-current protection, penetration protection, and over-temperature protection.
