National Instruments PXIe-4150 Precision Power Supply
The PXIe-4150 (Part number: 788176-01) from National Instruments is a single channel Precision Power Supply. Designed to precisely source and measure the voltage and current of PXI systems, this power supply is an excellent choice for a wide range of test and measurement applications. Built for diverse connectivity, the front panel of the devices is equipped with many connection types. For output, the PXIe-4150 features an OMNIMATE Hybrid connector with either 4 position (7.62 mm) or 6 position (2.54 mm). The AUX I/O of the power supply is facilitated by an 8 position (2.54 mm) Micro Combicon connector, while the AUX Power In capability utilizes a 4 position (5.7mm) Mega-Fit Receptacle connection.
The DC voltage range of the PXIe-4150 power supply spans from 6 V and 60 V, while the DC current range measures either 100 mA, 1 A, or 10 A. The output channels of the device are safeguarded against overcurrent or overvoltage with an automatic shutdown feature. The absolute maximum voltage of the supply is 60 V between channel I/O pin.
The types of input triggers included on the device are Start, Measure, Sequence Advance, and Source. For output triggers, the types available are Source Complete, Measure Complete, Sequence Engine Done, and Sequence Iteration Complete. For PXIe Chassis power rail voltages of both +3.3 V and +12 V, the maximum power requirement is 1 A.
Physically, the one slot PXIe-4150 measures dimensions of 2.0 cm × 13.0 cm × 21.6 cm (0.8 in. × 5.1 in. × 8.5 in.) and weighs in at 650 g (22.9 oz). Built for efficient operation in a range of environmental conditions, the power supply has an operating temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C with a noncondensing humidity of 10% to 90%. The power supply may be safely stored between -40°C and 71°C with a humidity range of 5% to 95% (also noncondensing) while not in use. Sturdy and durable, the module can safely withstand an operating vibration of 5 Hz to 500 Hz at 0.3 g RMS and a half-sine operating shock of 30 g.
