National Instruments PXI-2559 PXI RF Relay Module

Featured with onboard relay count tracking, 2.5 GHz bandwidth, and 75Ω characteristic impedance, the National Instruments PXI-2559 (Part Number: 778572-59) is an SPDT PXI RF Relay Module. This model offers maximum 10 W (channel to common) RF power and 1.5 W termination. The NI PXI-2559 comes with latching type, electromechanical relays. For handling I/O connections, it has gold plated 6 mini-75 Ohm SMB jacks.

The relays used in the manufacturing of this module are designed to operate within 10.4 ms maximum. In addition, their expected mechanical and electrical relay life is 1 × 106 cycles & 3 × 105 cycles respectively. The National Instruments PXI-2559 can be configured as a Dual terminated SPDT and can provide 30 V maximum switching voltage, 0.5 A maximum switching current (per channel) and 0.5 A maximum carry current (per channel). This 218 gram Relay Module is designed as a 3U, one slot, PXI module, with physical dimensions of 21.6 × 2.0 × 13.0 cm.

As far as its power requirements are concerned, the NI PXI-2559 consumes 3.7 W at 5 V and 0.3 W at 3.3 V. This module utilizes PXI trigger lines for both receiving or sending trigger signals.  It can recognize signals at 150 ns maximum pulse width. This module can also generate trigger signals at a programmable pulse width within a range of 1 μs to 62 μs. The NI PXI-2559 offers robust RF performance characteristics, providing <20 ps channel-to-channel skew and 97 ps typical rise time.
