The National Instrument PXIe-5650 offers the functionality of RF Signal Generators in a modular, compact PXI form factor. The NI PXIe-5650 can be combined with other PXI modules to design automated test systems for radar, RF integrated circuits (RFICs), and automotive test applications. The NI PXIe‑5650 PXI RF Analog Signal Generator features continuous-wave generation capabilities with FM, 2‑FSK, or OOK modulation. This model also has a frequency resolution <3 Hz.

This PXI RF Analog Signal Generator is ideal for clocking nonstandard sample rates, such as WCDMA signals at baseband or intermediate frequency (IF). The PXIe 5650 is adaptable and flexible and can be used to perform analog and digital modulation through the onboard DDS circuit.

The NI PXIe 5650 RF Analog Signal Generator has a maximum internal clock accuracy of ±1 ppm when the temperature is between 15 ºC to 35 ºC. This model has an internal reference output frequency up to 10 MHz, an output impedance of 50 Ω, and an amplitude of 1 Vpk-pk into 50 Ω. The PXIe 5650 RF Analog Signal Generator’s dimensions are 0.8 in. × 5.1 in. × 8.5 in. This model weighs 14.6 oz.
