National Instruments PXIe-2515 PXI Signal Insertion Switch Module
The PXIe-2515 (Part Number: 780587-15) is a 35 channel Signal Insertion Switch Module from National Instruments. The instrument incorporates exceptional operational capabilities. The NI PXIe-2515 has the capability to route high-speed digital I/O signals between DUT and a DIO device. The instrument implements the mechanism to carry out various parametric tests and allows users to conduct these tests on digital pins. The user can do so without any external connectivity. It also avoids any impedance mismatch issues during the test and helps get more accurate measurements quickly. The PXIe-2515 is also used as a PXI Source Measure Unit module or a PXI Digital Multimeter. It has such applications with high-speed digital devices.
The NI PXIe-2515 Signal Insertion Switch Module offers amazing input characteristics. The maximum value for the channel to ground switching voltage is 30 volts. The maximum value of per channel switching power of the instrument is three watts. It also offers a maximum switching and carry current of 0.25 & 0.3 Amperes respectively. The channel to channel typical value of skew is less than 130 picoseconds across all data channels. The value of skew for the channel to control is less than 290 picoseconds across all data and control channels.
The PXIe-2515 module features many dynamic characteristics, such as a maximum simultaneous drive limit of 48 relays for PXI or PXI Express. The nominal time for the operation of the relay is 0.25 milliseconds. The relays are reed relays on this module. The instrument also incorporates two BNC female and two VHDCI female connectors. The NI PXIe-2515 has various accessories available at an additional cost, which enables the user to quickly set up the instrument for testing and analysis and maximize their operations.
