National Instruments 785680-01 PXI Source Measure Unit

Part number 785680-01 from National Instruments is the identifying part number for the version of the PXIe-4162 PXI Source Measure Unit that has a current sensitivity of 100PA. This extremely sensitive and precise instrument is equipped with 12 channels, and boasts a DC voltage range of ±24 V. The 785680-01 is a DC device capable of measuring voltage and current simultaneously- offering incredible precision and accuracy. 

The front panel of the 785680-01 features custom, 62-position D-SUB female connectors for enhanced connectivity options. Four different input trigger types are available with the device, allowing the user to easily synchronize the operations of the unit with outside devices by indicating when to begin or end a specific operation. The available input trigger types are Start, Source, Measure, and Sequence Advance. 

Designed to withstand a wide range of environmental factors, the 785680-01 should only be used in an operating temperature range of 0 °C to 40 °C. The only exception to this is if a chassis is used that has a slot cooling capacity that is greater than or equal to 58 W. In this case, the SMU can be operated in slightly elevated temperatures ranging from 0 °C to 55 °C. When not in use, the 785680-01 can be securely stored in environments with a much wider temperature range, spanning from -40 °C to 71 °C. 

The 785680-01 has the dimensions of a PXIe /CompactPCIe module, measuring 2.0 cm × 13.0 cm × 21.6 cm (0.8 in. × 5.1 in. × 8.5 in.). It weighs in at an incredibly light 394 g (13.9 oz).
