The PXIe-5820 (Part Number: 783967-01) is a 2-Slot Vector Signal Transceiver from National Instruments, which incorporates extraordinary operational capabilities. The NI PXIe-5820 offers the frequency bandwidth of 1 GHz. This frequency spectrum is of I/Q type and extremely complex. The modul integrates various advanced capabilities, including a wideband I/Q digitizer and wideband I/Q arbitrary waveform generator. It also includes a high-performance FPGA module, which is user programmable. Each of these functionalities are combined on a single PXI Express module.

The instrument also incorporates onboard dynamic RAM, which includes 2 banks of the DRAM. Each bank has the memory size of 2 GB per second. The theoretical maximum data rate of each bank is 12 GB per second per bank. This Vector Signal Transceiver has an onboard static RAM memory size of 2 MB. The maximum data reading rate is 31 MB per second and the maximum data writing rate is 29 MB per second.
