The PXIe-5830 is a PXI Vector Signal Transceiver. The PXIe-5830 is designed and manufactured by National Instruments. National Instruments sells the PXIe-5830 with the part number 787047-01. The NI PXIe-5830 is not a single device. Rather, the configuration of the PXIe-5830 consists of two different NI modules: the PXIe-5820 Vector Signal Transceiver and the PXIe-3621 Vector Signal Up/Down Converter.
The National Instruments PXIe-5830 PXI Vector Signal Transceiver is used in multiple applications involving radio frequency (RF) signals. The NI PXIe-5830 is used in the testing of numerous wireless standards. The PXIe-5830 Vector Signal Transceiver blocks can be stacked together to develop multiple input multiple out (MIMO) systems for applications which require a large number of input and output channels.
The NI PXIe-5830 PXI Vector Signal Transceiver contains two major components: a vector signal analyzer and a vector signal generator. The RF analyzer of the PXIe-5830 can be used with the frequency range of 5 GHz to 12 GHz with a frequency step size of 2 MHz. The instantaneous bandwidth of the RF analyzer is 1 GHz. The tuning resolution is 4.45 µHz. The vector signal generator section supports a frequency range of 5 GHz to 12 GHz and an instantaneous bandwidth of 1 GHz. Since the National Instruments PXIe-5830 PXI Vector Signal Transceiver is a combined version of two different devices, the power consumption is the summation of both individual modules. The total power consumption of the NI PXIe-5830 Vector Signal Transceiver is 157.02 W.
