The NI PXIe-5423 from National Instruments is a random Waveform Generator ideal for tightly synchronized, mixed-signal test systems, using a fractional resampling process to achieve accurate waveform generation. This module meets the application testing requirements of engineers in industries, such as scientific research, consumer electronics, automotive, semiconductor devices, and aerospace. This module has a single slot and a backplane connector and can be installed into any PXI Express-compatible slot. This module offers advanced features, such as waveform scripting and streaming options.
The PXIe 5423 supports sine wave generation up to 40 MHz and square wave generation up to 25 MHz. For triangle waveforms and ramp waveforms, the frequency range is from 0 MHz to 5 MHz. For user-defined functions, the frequency range and step size are 0 MHz to 40 MHz and 2.84 µHz respectively. This module also features single, continuous, stepped, and burst trigger modes when configured to frequency list, arbitrary waveform, or arbitrary sequence output modes.
The NI PXIe 5423 PXI Waveform Generator produces 0.00775 Vpk-pk to 12 Vpk-pk output amplitude into a 50 Ω load and has 200 MS/s sampling rate. This model has an input impedance of (DC) >100 kΩ and a pulse width >150 ns. The random vibration for this model while operating is 5 Hz to 500 Hz, 0.3 grms.
