National Instruments PXI-7833R PXI Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module
The PXI-7833R (Part number: 779360-01) is a PXI Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module from National Instruments that has eight 16-bit Analog Input channels, eight 16-bit Analog Output channels, and 96 bidirectional Digital I/O lines that the user can configure independently for inputs or outputs. The FPGA is a Virtex-II 3M, and the driver software used is NI-RIO. When the NI PXI-7833R is configured in DIFF input mode, each channel utilizes two AI lines. The positive input stick interfaces with the positive terminal of the locally available instrumentation intensifier, and the negative information stick associates with the negative input of the instrumentation enhancer. When the PXI-7833R Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module is active, each channel utilizes only the positive AI stick. This stick interfaces with the positive terminal of the installed instrumentation enhancer. The negative input of the instrumentation intensifier is inside fixing to the AI ground (AIGND).
When the framework control is on, the Digital I/O lines are for the most part high-impedance. To set another power-on state, the user can configure the PXI-7833R to consequently load to VI when the framework control is on. The device features a SCB-68 shielded connector block.
The Multifunction RIO Module can send and get triggers through the PXI trigger bus, which gives eight trigger lines that connect to the PXI slots in a bus section. These trigger lines interface with the FPGA on the PXI-7833R and can be utilized simply like any of the other DIO lines. The PXI trigger lines can be utilized to synchronize the device to whatever other gadget that backs PXI triggers. Additionally, the PXI-7833R can utilize the PXI star trigger line to send or get triggers from a gadget connected to slot 2 of the PXI frame. The device has a weight of 1 lb., and has the dimensions: 6.3 x 3.9 in.
The device can be programmed using the LabVIEW FPGA Module. LabVIEW in conjunction with the LabVIEW Real-Time Module can also be used to develop applications that control the NI 7833R.
The PXI-7833R has been declared Obsolete by National Instruments (NI), but the Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module will still be available for purchase and repairs in perpetuity by Apex Waves.
