National Instruments PXIe-7861 Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module
The PXIe-7861 (part number: 786671-01) is a PXI Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module from the manufacturer National Instruments. The NI PXIe-7861 module is specifically designed for use with the PXIe bus connector interface, as it belongs to the family of reconfigurable input/output modules used with the PXIe interface by National Instruments. Located inside of this versatile module is an FPGA controller and a reconfigurable Kintex-7 160T FPGA- making it an excellent choice for high speed data processing. The default timebase of the FPGA is 40 MHz, The maximum sampling rate (per channel) of the module is up to 1 MS/s.
The NI PXIe-7861 Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module is capable of performing multiple functions for a wide range of test and measurement applications. In terms of connectivity, is is equipped with 16 channels for analog inputs as well as 8 channels for analog outputs. In addition, this I/O Module is designed with 32 bidirectional digital channels. The PXIe-7861 module is features one analog-to-digital converter (ADC) per channel that can be used for triggering and timing purposes independently.
The NI PXIe-7861 module is developed for direct controlling of input/output signals in a synchronized manner. The logic level of each I/O connector is set at 3.3 V, and are compatible with LVTTL and LVCMOS. The PXIe-7861 is fabricated with a dynamic random access memory (DRAM) of 512 MB in size. The module offers support for peer to peer data streaming. The PXIe-7861 module is available with multiple ranges for analog inputs, including -1 to 1 V, -2 to 2 V, -5 to 5 V, and -10 to 10 V.
The environmental specifications for the PXIe-7861 include an operating temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C with a noncondensing relative humidity of 10% to 90%. When not in use, the storage temperature range spans from -40 °C to 71 °C with a noncondensing relative humidity range of 5% to 95%. The physical dimensions of the reconfigurable I/O module measure 8.43 in. × 5.1 in. × 0.8 in. (21.4 cm × 13.0 cm × 2.0 cm) and weighs in at 6.04 oz (171.1 g).
