The Virtex-5 SX95T FPGA in the NI PXIe-7966R is reconfigurable and provides 58,880 Look-Up Tables (LUTs), 640 DSP48 Slices, and 8,784 kbits of embedded BRAM (block RAM). This module includes two independent DRAM banks, each with 256 MB of memory, providing a total of 512 MB DRAM. It supports a maximum theoretical data transmission rate of 1.6 GB/s per bank
The PXIe-7966R supports multiple clock sources, including the 100 MHz PXIe timebase, as well as a default 40 MHz onboard clock. This module supports three data transfer modes: Direct Memory Access (DMA), programmed I/O, and interrupts. It is compatible with x4 PXI Express and PXI Express Hybrid slots
PXIe-7966R Mature Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
