National Instruments 777459-34 Relay Module
Part Number 777459-34 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments SCC-RLY01 Relay Module. It is typically used in high-performance data acquisition applications with NI DAQ devices.
The 777459-34 is an SPDT non-latching relay that can be controlled with a digital input/output line 0 to 7 on any E/M Series DAQ device. When used with the SC-2345, it can switch 5A at 30 VAC or 5A at 30 VDC. Similarly, when used with the SCC-68, it can switch 5A at 250 VAC or 5A at 30 VDC. The module draws a maximum of 300 mW of digital power (60 mA max at +5V).
The 777459-34 features a signal bandwidth of DC to 400 Hz and a contact resistance of 30 mΩ max. It takes 5 ms (10 ms max) for the module to go from normally close (NC) to normally open (NO), i.e. the operate time. Likewise, the release time, i.e. the time taken to switch back from normally open (NO) to normally close (NC) is 4 ms (5 ms max). Furthermore, the maximum operating speed of the relay is 30 cps at the rated load whereas the contact lifetime is 5 × 107 operations at 180 cpm (minimum).
The 777459-34 measures 7.93cm x 3.55cm x 1.87cm in physical dimensions and weighs 1.3 oz. It has a single 20-pin right-angle male connector and a single 3-pin screw terminal block as I/O connectors and the field wiring diameter is 28 to 16 AWG.
For safety purposes, note that the maximum working voltage for the 777459-34 is ±60 VDC (Measurement Category I) between the channel and the earth. Similarly, when used with an SCC-68, the maximum working voltage between the channel to earth is ±300 VDC, (Measurement Category II).
