National Instruments 778715-01 PXI Timing and Control Module

It offers extensive routing capabilities, facilitating signal routing between PXI start triggers, front panel connectors, and PXI/RTSI triggers. 

This model features an onboard high-stability reference OCXO and a star trigger controller designed for precise, low-skew triggering. It integrates routing capabilities for trigger and clock signals. The front panel of the 778715-01 includes connectors for CLKOUT, CLKIN, PFI <0..5>, an Access LED, and an Active LED. This Timing and Control Module enables the generation and routing of trigger and clock signals between different locations. PFI connections can be configured as either inputs or outputs. The NI 778715-01 consumes a maximum of 2 A at +5 V, 600 mA at +3.3 V, 500 mA at +12 V, and 0 A at -12 V. 

Additionally, it can synchronize the OCXO timebase to an external reference clock and route it to the 10 MHz reference clock. The CLKOUT from the NI 778715-01 Timing and Control module delivers a 10 MHz signal sourced from either PXI_CLK10 or its onboard OCXO. It also supports outputting frequencies ranging from 1 Hz to 105 MHz when utilizing a DDS source. The output is AC-coupled, ensuring compatibility across various signal processing systems, making it ideal for precise synchronization needs in both experimental and industrial environments.
