Featured with a 500 MHz Processor and Ethernet connectivity, the NI TPC-2512 (Part Number: 780541-01) is an industrial grade Touch Panel Computer from National Instruments. This model has a 12.1 in. color LCD touch screen. The NI TPC-2512 is certified to provide seamless integration with the LabVIEW Touch Panel Module. This Touch Panel Computer’s compatibility with a variety of control platforms makes it an ideal human machine interface (HMI). The NI TPC-2512 is fully compatible with Compact FieldPoint, PXI real-time, CompactRIO, and other National Instruments Single-Board RIOs.
This Touch Panel Computer features a SVGA TFT LCD that is designed to provide users with crystal clear graphics or schematics. The NI TPC-2512 comes with a robust I/O interface for straightforward and reliable communication with other industrial devices. The various connectivity options include: two USB (Universal Serial Bus) ports, a parallel port, an Ethernet port, four serial ports, two PS/2 ports, and one IDE channel. The NI TPC-2512 has an integrated watchdog timer to ensure safe operations.
The watchdog timer incorporated in this device can be configured to take corrective measures in case of a control system or control program failure. The IDE connector provided in this Touch Panel Computer supports one CompactFlash socket and a hard drive. The high-performance LCD incorporated in the TPC-2512 can operate at a maximum resolution of 800 x 600 pixels and can produce luminance of 340 cd/m2. The TPC-2512 offers a board viewing angle of 100° and its contrast ratio remains around 300.
The TPC-2512 has been announced as Obsolete by National Instruments (NI), but the Touch Panel Computer will still be available for purchase and repairs in perpetuity with Apex Waves.
