National Instruments 785037-01 VirtualBench

The National Instruments 785037-01, or VB-8054, is an integrated test instrument designed to simplify circuit design, debugging, and validation tasks. A programmable DC power supply, an arbitrary waveform generator, a digital multimeter, a four-channel, 500 MHz mixed-signal oscilloscope, digital I/O channels, and a digital multimeter are all included in this little device. This configuration offers versatile control and visualization, making it easy to interface with a PC or iPad. With the software's interactive interface, users may monitor all measurements in real time on one screen. New features can be added to the program as they become available through updates. The oscilloscope is a 4-channel mixed-signal device with an 8-bit resolution and 500 MHz bandwidth.

With its 5 mV/div to 5 V/div vertical sensitivity, it is perfect for a wide range of signal measuring applications. In order to accommodate different input levels, the oscilloscope additionally offers a customizable offset range and supports both DC and AC coupling. Accurate signal capture is ensured by acquisition modes like sample, peak detect, and averaging. The digital channels of the device can analyze logic signals with reliability and handle input frequencies of up to 100 MHz. Its configurable input thresholds provide accurate signal readings through fine-tuning. An array of waveforms, including sine, square, ramp/triangle, DC, and arbitrary, can be produced by the integrated arbitrary waveform generator of the 785037-01 model, which runs at a maximum frequency of 40 MHz. For testing applications, the generator's 14-bit resolution and 200 MS/s update rate guarantee precise and adaptable waveform production. Moreover, it has integrated security features including short-circuit protection.

The NI 785037-01 model’s digital multimeter offers comprehensive measurement functions including DC/AC voltage, current, resistance, diode testing and continuity checks. It provides high-resolution measurements with 5½ digits. Input protection is robust with the ability to withstand up to 300 V DC or 265 V AC RMS. A customizable DC power supply with three separate output channels is integrated into this VirtualBench. 0 - 6 V at up to 3 A and ± 25 V at up to 1 A are provided via these channels. This makes flexible power delivery possible for developing and testing circuits. Ethernet, wireless, and USB interfaces are available for the device's communication, enabling both local and distant access to measurements and control.
