National Instruments VXIpc-874B VXIbus Controller
The National Instruments VXIpc-874B (Part Numbers: 779523-00, 779523-01, 779523-02, and 779523-03) Pentium III-based Embedded VXIbus Controller is available in different part numbers for various operating systems or without an OS installed on the internal hard drive. The NI VXIpc-874B is a C-size VXI Controller. The NI VXIpc-874B is a high performance, user friendly platform used to control VXIbus systems. This VXIbus Controller offers full VXI functionality with interactive utilities and C function calls, an IEEE 488.2 interface, Ethernet capability, and VXI Plug & Play compatibility. The VXIpc-874B is compatible with LabWindows/CVI applications and NI LabVIEW software. The NI VXIpc-874B is also compatible with PC compatible software tools, such as NI-VXI, NI-488.2, and NI-VISA interface software.
This embedded National Instruments VXIbux Controller is based on the x86 processor architecture. The power cord protects the NI VXIpc-874B from electrical surges and damages by grounding the chassis. To install the controller, you would have to remove or open any doors or covers that may block access to the chassis slot. While installing, the controller should be inserted in the desired slot through alignment in the top and bottom of the controller with the card-edge guides present inside the chassis.
The VXIpc-874B VXI Controller is designed to be handled easily by the end user. When removing the controller from a VXI chassis, the end user should shut down all applications and the OS and then turn off the power.
VXIpc-874B Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the controller will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
