National Instruments 781049-01 Multifunction I/O Device
The part number 781049-01 from National Instruments is the identifying part number for the PCIe-6353 Multifunction I/O Device. This Multifunction I/O uses the PCIe high-speed serial computer expansion bus for transferring data to its compatible control unit. The module has 16 differential Analog inputs or 32 single ended inputs. The channels have a resolution of 16 bits with a maximum sampling rate of 1.25 MS/s single channel or 1.00 MS/s multichannel. With input being DC coupled the input voltage range for the analog inputs is ±0.1 V, ±0.2 V, ±0.5 V, ±1 V, ±2 V, ±5 V, ±10 V. The CMRR ratio is 100 dB which is high making this device prone to unwanted noise signals.
The output of this device is also analog type with 4 16-bit channels with a maximum update rate of 2.86 MS/s for one channel or 1.25 MS/s when all four channels are in operation simultaneously. The timing accuracy of the output channels is 50 ppm of sample rate with a resolution of 10 ns. The output coupling is also DC with a voltage range of ±10 V, ±5 V. This Multifunctional I/O device has 48 programmable Digital I/O channels.
For Waveforms only port 0 can be used and can produce a sample size of up to 32 bits. The waveform generation FIFO at output has a size of 2,047 samples while the FIFO at the input has a size of 255 samples. The sample clock frequency for the 781049-01is 0 to 10 MHz and is system and bus activity-dependent while the USB clock frequency is 0 to 1 MHz which is also system and bus activity-dependent.
The recommended Voltage rating for operating the 781049-01 is 2.2 Volts to 5.25 volts with input high or 0 to 0.8 Volts with input low. This I/O module has 4 counters or timers with a resolution of 32 bits and can perform Edge counting, pulse, pulse width, semi-period, period, and two-edge separation operations. The inputs for the counters is Gate, Source, HW Arm, Aux, A, B, Z, Up_Down, and Sample Clock.
