National Instruments PCIe-6351 Multifunction I/O Device

The PCIe-6351 (Part number: 781048-01) is an X Series Multifunction I/O Device manufactured by National Instruments. It enables the device to deliver up to 16 digital input and 8 digital output lines. The NI device has 16 single-ended or 8 differential analog input channels (with a 16-bit resolution and a maximum sample rate of 1.25 MS per second), and 2 analog output channels–equally with a 16-bit resolution and a maximum update rate of 2.86 MS per second for one channel. The NI PCIe-6351 also has external digital triggers which are workable through any PFI or RSTI. These triggers have software-selectable polarity for many signals. The external digital triggers have analog inputs and outputs. It can also be used as a sample clock timebase and a sample clock. T

he NI PCIe-6351 can generate the trigger with another device bus interface. It uses RSTI as the input and output medium. The device also has on phase locked loop, and is equipped with a 68-pin VHDCI I/O connector. The Multifunction I/O Device is operated using the NI-DAQmx driver software which is compatible with an application development environment like LabVIEW or other software choices. 

The National Instruments PCIe-6351 has four 32‑bit counters/timers for event counting and PWM, which operate at a frequency of 100 MHz. These are also included for frequency, encoder, and much more. Additionally, it has 1 frequency generator channel. This device provides excellent performance through driver and application software. The NI PCIe-6351 is perfectly applicable in test automation and control applications. This device is also suitable for general data logging application. It weighs 0.35 lbs., and measures 3.9 x 6.6 in. in physical dimensions.
