National Instruments 777141-01 Terminal Block

Part Number 777141-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments TBX-68 Terminal Block. It is an unshielded I/O accessory that comes with 68 screw terminals allowing easy signal connections to a NI 68-pin DAQ device. To use the 777141-01 with a compatible 68-pin DAQ device, you will need the following additional accessories: correct cables for the devices, a 0.125 in. flathead screwdriver, 12 to 30 AWG wires, wire cutters, and a wire insulation stripper. 

To get started with the 777141-01, you will first have to remove all the cables from the terminal block. Then, the DAQ device must be installed using the official installation guide. After this step, mount the terminal block into a standard 35 mm DIN rail using the attached clip (if necessary). This is followed by connecting the screw terminals by stripping the insulation, inserting the wires onto the terminals, and securely tightening the screws up to the required torque. Most importantly, you should not connect input voltages exceeding >30 Vrms/42 Vpk/60 VDC as these become hazardous. Then, the terminal block is connected to the DAQ device using the appropriate cable. Finally, the device settings should be configured and tested using the Measurement and Explorer (MAX) tool.

The 777141-01 measures (5.02 in. × 4.93 in. × 2.36 in.) in physical dimensions and weighs 8.8 oz. It features a single 68-pin SCSI connector for I/O connection. Likewise, there are 68 screw terminals and all the I/O signals are available in these terminals. Similarly, the terminals support wires whose size range between 12 to 30 AWG. Furthermore, the recommended torque on these terminals is 0.8 Nm. The 777141-01 is recommended for operation in between the temperature range of 0 to 70 °C at a relative humidity of 5% to 90%. On the other hand, it can be stored at a wider range of -20 to 70 °C at the same relative humidity levels. Note that the device is intended for indoor use only and must be operated only up to a maximum altitude of 2000 m.
