National Instruments 777264-01 TBX-96 Terminal Block

Part Number 777264-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments TBX-96 Terminal Block. It is a shielded, DIN-rail mountable terminal block that allows easy connection to the SCXI-1100, SCXI-1102B/C, SCXI-1104/C, and SCXI-1581 front connector using its 96 screw terminals. To set up the 777264-01 and use it with a suitable SCXI module, you will need the following additional accessories: an SCXI chassis, a suitable module among SCXI-1100, SCXI-1102B/C, SCXI-1581, SCXI-1104/C, wire strippers, a combination flathead/Phillips screwdriver and an SH96-96 shielded cable or R96-96 ribbon cable assembly that includes the TBX cable adapter.

To connect signals to the 777264-01, you must first prepare the signal wire by stripping sufficient insulation (no more than 7 mm). Then, you can connect the wires to the screw terminals by inserting the stripped end of the wire into the terminals and tightening the screws to a torque of 5 to 7 in-lb. Now, to install the cable and the terminal block, you must first turn off the SCXI chassis and the computer. Then, the TBX cable adapter is connected to the appropriate SCXI module and it is secured by tightening both the thumb screws. One of the cable assemblies is connected to the TBX cable adapter while the other end is connected to the TBX-96 terminal block connector. Finally, you can reconnect the DAQ device to your SCXI chassis.
