National Instruments 779358-01 Terminal Block 

National Instruments part number 779358-01 is an identifying part number for the TB-2627 Terminal Block, which is designed for use with the PXI-2527 or PXIe-2527. The NI 779358-01 supports several configurations including 64 x 1 1-wire multiplexer, 32 x 1 2-wire multiplexer, 16 x 1 4-wire multiplexer, dual 32 x 1 1-wire multiplexer, and dual 16 x 1 2-wire multiplexer setups. It interfaces with the NI HV6-BAN4 DMM cable (Part Number: 192795-0R2) and requires a PXI chassis for operation. It features screw terminals for all multiplexer channels and includes a cold-junction sensor (thermistor) near the J13 connector on the PCB. 

It supports a maximum switching voltage of 300 V (both channel-to-channel and channel-to-earth). The cold-junction sensor outputs 0.2 to 0.024 V between 0 °C to 50 °C, with an accuracy of ±0.5 °C from 15 °C to 35 °C. Accuracy is ±1.0 °C at temperatures ranging from 0 °C to 15 °C and 35 °C to 50 °C. To operate the device, you'll need the NI 779358-01 terminal block, a PXI chassis, the NI PXI/PXIe-2527 switch module, a wire insulation stripper, a 1/8 in. flathead screwdriver, and a wire cutter. 

When utilizing the PXI-2527 and 779358-01 for thermocouple measurements, it's essential to consider potential measurement errors. The total error in thermocouple readings combines the system error, influenced by the thermal EMF of the PXI-2527 and the Cold Junction Compensation (CJC) temperature of the 779358-01, along with the thermocouple-specific error related to the type of thermocouple being used.

National Instruments has declared obsolete status for the 779358-01, however, it is still available for purchase at the Apex Waves website.
