National Instruments 781689-01 Terminal Block

Part Number 781689-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments TB-2632B Terminal Block. The 781689-01 supports a single matrix configuration: 1-wire, 8 x 16 matrix. The terminal block is typically used to deploy PXI switching systems more efficiently. For example: it can be used with the NI PXI-2530B, a 128-channel switch module that can be configured in various topologies and comes with a 160-position LFH, female front panel connector. 

The 781689-01 acts as a robust collusion for maintaining a better EMC performance as it can provide shielding against electromagnetic interference and noise. The rear connector on this terminal block connects to the front connector of the switch module. Likewise, there is also a strain-relief opening for signal cables. Furthermore, the terminal block comes with terminals for TRIGIN and TRIGout signals. Moreover, the rear panel of the terminal block has chassis screws to ensure it is held securely in place. 

When using the 781689-01 with switch modules such as the PXI-2530B, there is a set of safety measures that the user should be aware of. First, the user must follow the standard guidelines mentioned in the official documentation. Likewise, since the maximum switching voltage for the switch module is  60 VDC or 30 VACrms and falls under CAT I, it should not be used for measurements in categories II, III, or IV. On the other hand, a suitable ambient environment should also be maintained for proper operation. For the said switch module, the operating temperature should be between 0 °C to 55 °C, and the operating relative humidity between 5% to 85%, while the altitude should be within 2000 m.
