National Instruments RM-4304 Terminal Block

The RM-4304 (Part Number: 783873-01Terminal Block from National Instruments is intended for use in industrial automation applications. Accurate signal measurement is ensured by its AI± differential input, which has an offset voltage of 10 μV max at 23 °C ±5 °C and 4 μV typ at the same temperature range.

At different temperatures, the offset voltage stability of 0.5 μV/°C max and 0.05 μV/°C guarantees reliable operation. Calibration accuracy is improved by the offset matching of 2 μV between AI± and CAL±. The terminal block incorporates electromechanical relay switches with a mechanical life expectancy of 5 × 10^7 cycles and electrical life expectancy of 2 × 10^5 cycles, ensuring durability and reliability. It also includes RJ50 receptacles for easy connectivity and features a mean number of insertions before failure of 500.

It is made to function in an environment as robust as possible, operating at a maximum altitude of 2,000 meters and withstanding shock up to 30 g peak half-sine with an 11 ms pulse. In addition, it can withstand random vibrations between 5 and 500 Hz, 0.3 g rms when operating, and 2.4 g rms when not operating. It offers protection against detrimental interference in industrial situations while adhering to regulatory EMC criteria. But, in order to reduce the chance of interference, users should carefully follow the installation guidelines, particularly in home or business settings.

The RJ50, BNC, 96-pin DIN, and COMBICON slots on the RM-4304 Terminal Block provide flexible connectivity options to accommodate different industrial automation configurations.
