National Instruments TB-2631 Terminal Block
The National Instruments TB-2631 (Part Number: 778734-01) is a Front-Mounting Terminal Block specifically designed for use with the National Instruments PXI-2530 Switch Module. This Terminal Block can be used to configure the PXI-2530 Switch as a 4 x 16 2-wire matrix or 4 x 32 1-wire matrix. Moreover, this model also offers direct wired connections to the terminal block’s internally existing screw terminals. The NI TB-2631 comes with screw terminals which are used to connect signals to the switch. In addition, screw terminals for the trigger input and output signals are provided.
This Terminal Block can easily be connected to the front connector of the NI PXI-2530. Additionally, two or more such terminal blocks can be utilized for the expansion of the PXI-2530 Switch Module. To hold the unit in its place securely, two screws are provided on the back side of the NI TB-2631 Terminal Block. The user should ensure that these screws are tightened after plugging in the Terminal Block on the front facing connector of the switch.
This model comes with a 16 position connector with communication and power pins. The installation and configuration of this model does not involve cables. The user should keep in mind that this Terminal Block is solely compatible with the PXI-2530 Switch Module. Therefore, no attempt should be made for forceful insertion of the NI TB-2631 in any other switch’s port. For the proper deployment of signal cables and triggering cables, a strain relief bar with screws is also incorporated in this Terminal Block.
The Terminal Block is designed to comply with the following electrical safety standards: IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 3111-1, UL 61010B-1, and CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 1010.1.
